Fruits of our Taxes - Venture Socialism Fails Again

Welcome to the Collaborative Revolution!

The government has no business picking winners and losers.  Venture capitilists are supposed bet with their own money, not ours.  Venture Socialism, on the other hand, is much more attractive to the "investors" because they are betting with other peoples money and buying votes at the same time.  Of course, the problem with Venture Socialism - as with old fashion Socialism - is that you eventually run out of other people's money!

The story excerpted and linked below highlights to folley of allowing government beauracrats to stay over night at a Holiday Inn Express.  They wake up thinking they are Venture Capitalists when they are not.
Range cost U.S. taxpayers $64 million and Georgia taxpayers another $6.2 million. Tuesday’s sale netted $5.1 million, which will help offset losses suffered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Georgia’s money, which paid for some of the ethanol-making equipment, won’t be recouped outright, but state officials expect LanzaTech to use the machinery.
