(SMART)X Game Changer Series Launch Brochure
Strategic alliances, integrated agreements, and other collaborative
legal tools and frameworks enable stakeholders to form integrated
teams that interact intelligently and align their economic and
environmental goals over time. The (SMART)X Game Changer
Series explores emerging business processes that leverage these
innovative tools to reduce costs, expand revenue, mitigate risks and
environmental issues and increase market share.
Effective IPD, BIM/VDC and lean process programs map and align the
key interests of critical stakeholders, increase the efficiency of
planning, design and construction services and reduce operations and
maintenance costs for facilities and infrastructure. In short, the
(BUILT)X Solutions SystemTM drives value
through the entire life cycle saving and earning billions for built
industry stakeholders that deploy these powerful tools.
Introduction
Collaborative
Construction's (SMART)X
Game Changer Series represents an improved version of the IPD Round
Table Series presented two years ago. This exciting series offers
sponsors, invited guests and others in the built industry the
opportunity to engage in a substantive and continuing conversation –
over the course of an entire year – regarding new generation tools
and processes that support and enable integrated procurement
programs, (IPP) integrated project delivery, (IPD) and integrated
operations and maintenance (IOM) of facilities and infrastructure
planned, procured, designed, (BUILT)X,
operated and maintained utilizing (SMART)X
Game Changers.
Regular
readers of Collaborative Construction's Newsletter and the
Collaborative Construction Blog are encouraged to share a link to
this summary with clients, friends and colleagues. If you don't take
steps to spread the word the word won't be spread. Advocates of BIM,
IPD and other innovative solutions need to take a leadership role in
promoting the use of these new tools and processes. Step to the
plate today and sign up as a sponsor. Forward a copy of this
brochure to a key client. Let's get the conversation underway!
Rationale
behind the series
The series empowers like-minded professionals to join forces – both
inside and outside their firms – monthly for a substantive
conversation regarding the use of (SMART)X Game Changers
in the built industry that support and enable BIM/VDC, IPD and
similar innovations. The goal? Increase the efficiency with which
participants deliver planning, design, construction, operations and
maintenance services. How? Encourage the formation of
cross-disciplinary teams of like minded professionals with
complimentary skill sets to deliver these services as integrated
teams.
Leveraging the webinars, social media, mobile apps and the contacts
associated with all the participants increases the value of the
series to all involved. Rising waters raise all ships. Here, the
rising tide of change and innovation raises awareness – and
ultimately the use – of BIM/VDC and IPD in the built industry.
The Logistics of the (SMART)X Game Changer Series
Monthly online (SMART)X Game Changer webinars coincide
with publication of (SMART)X Game Changer Series articles
in AUGI and the Collaborative Construction Blog. Live seminars and
workshops, hosted by series sponsors loosely correlate to topics in
written articles and online webinars, though sponsors enjoy
flexibility regarding seminar content. Collaborative workshops are
scheduled in the U.S., Canada, Ireland and possibly the UK.

Note: Platinum Sponsor costs vary
depending on scope of additional consulting requested
Sponsorship costs
for single day workshops vary depending on the scope and nature of
the event, location, date and other factors. The cost of a Series
Sponsorship assumes a sponsor has more than 10 offices. Series
Sponsorships are available to companies with fewer than 10 offices at
negotiated rates of less than $5K. Individual attendees should
contact James L. Salmon or a Sponsor. Unaffiliated individuals
attend webinars for free. Individuals can usually attend a one (1)
Day Collaborative Workshop for $99.99 or a two
(2) Day Collaborative Workshop for $159.99. Those prices may be
higher in certain locations depending on other costs incurred by
Collaborative Construction and Sponsors.
Cost
Benefit Analysis of Sponsorship
Workshop
Value
The
regular cost of a collaborative workshop is $10K per day. However,
Platinum Sponsors of the (SMART)X Game Changer Series
enjoy access to six (6) one (1) day workshops in six (6) separate
locations for $30K. Thus Platinum Sponsors enjoy the base
sponsorship value of $5K plus the six (6) days worth of workshops
valued at $60K for a total value of $65K for only $30K. That's
over 50% off the regular cost of those services.
Webinar
Value
Tremendous
value also lies in inviting existing and potential clients to local
offices on a monthly basis to participate, remotely, in these
high quality webinars. Sponsors will be perceived as innovators
and leaders on all things BIM, IPD and VDC by the attendees, and will
have the opportunity to engage attendees – both before and after
the webinar – in any manner the sponsor sees fit.
Training
and Marketing Value
Platinum
Sponsors enjoy access to prior presentations and the right to
rebroadcast presentations for training and marketing purposes.
For
a firm with 10 offices nationally, the Series Sponsor cost of $5K is
only $41.66 per month per office. A Platinum Sponsorship – $30K –
only costs such a firm $250 per month per office, but THAT price
includes includes six (6) collaborative workshops (a $60K value)
delivered in the company's choice of venues. Further, since
Collaborative Construction's workshops regularly qualify for
continuing education credit most sponsors can recoup the sponsorship
costs through earned continuing education credits for employees.
Summary
of Value
Sponsors
of the series regularly and substantively interact with existing
clients, potential clients and collaborative partners. Higher level
sponsors of the (SMART)X Game Changer Series leverage
existing sales, marketing and training activities to add value.
Further, the series serves as an informative educational program, an
effective training mechanism and a powerful marketing tool. Most
importantly, however, the series serves as a catalyst for internal
and external change in the built industry.
Are
your ready to embrace the changes associated with the use of BIM/VDC
and IPD? Is your organization struggling to adopt those tools and
adapt to the change? The (SMART)X Game Changer Series can
help! Call today.
Two (2) Day Collaborative Workshop Format for Series Events:
(SMART)X Game Changer Series workshops, for paid
attendees, sponsors, and their invited guests, introduces BIM to FM,
an owner requirement emerging as a non-negotiable goal in the global
market place. Series workshops explore integrated project delivery
(IPD), integrated agreements, building information modeling / virtual
design and construction (BIM/VDC) and lean business processes from
the perspective of the Sponsor and the Sponsor's invited guests.
Mock RFPs and responses to those Mock RFPs form the basis of the
interactive workshop. James L. Salmon plays the role of General
Counsel and an experienced service provider or owners' representative
plays the role of VP of Facilities during mock interviews. James and
the mock owners' representative display varying degrees of knowledge
of IPD, BIM/VDC and lean processes in questioning and highlight
conundrums common to the process.
