Collaborative BIM Workshop in Denver April 25

Collaborative Construction has joined forces with The Blue Book Building and Construction Network to put on a day long AEC Tech Expo & Showcase in Denver, on Thursday, April 25 at Sports Authority Field, Mile High Stadium downtown.  You can register for the AEC Tech Expo & Showcase by clicking the link.  Regular readers are encouraged to share a link to this post with their contacts in the Denver region.

Over 15 hours of continuing education credit will be available throughout the day, including a 3 part Collaborative Workshop presented by and James L. Salmon of Collaborative Construction.  Participants interested in learning more about the legal requirements for simple BIM, federated BIM and integrated BIM are encouraged to attend the workshop.

Utilizing a fast paced, interactive and entertaining format, James L. Salmon walks participants through three separate RFPs seeking different levels of BIM,  The first RFP, crafted by an owner who thinks BIM is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but otherwise has no idea what it is, requires participants to craft a description of their scope of work when simple BIM is a required deliverable.  The second RFP, circulated by a general contractor operating under a design build agreement with an absentee owner, requires participants to describe their scope of work when the required deliverable is a project centric, federated BIM.  The last RFP comes from a sophisticated owner demanding BIM to FM and insisting on an integrated BIM the works seamlessly with the owner's operations and FM systems.  Thea scope of work when the required deliverable is BIM to FM is a bit more challenging.  The collaborative workshop briefly explores an RFP in each setting, simple BIM, federated BIM and integrated BIM.

If you are a built industry professional operating in the Rocky Mountain Region then you should register for and attend the AEC Tech Expo & Showcase.  Not only will you have the chance to participating in over 15 hours of enlightening continuing education sessions, you will be fed, entertained and exposed to a wide range of new and existing contacts for networking purposes.  The morning sessions include the collaborative workshop, additional continuing education classes, panel discussions, a keynote and a number of technology displays.  In the afternoon, the floor opens up and hundreds of built industry professionals have the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas.

Register today!  And join us in Denver April 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a full day of interesting discussions related to BIM, IPD and how to compete in the emerging knowledge economy.

Welcome to the Collaborative Revolution!
