Study identifies BIM "challenges" for small firms




The study linked below provides a bit of statistical insight regarding BIM adoption among structural engineers.  The title of the article speaks of "challenges" but I advise small firm owners to embrace BIM as an opportunity rather than a challenge.  As a smaller more nimble enterprise small firms have a distinct advantage when it comes to adopting and adapting to change.

Finally! An accurate survey of a typical building industry professional association. Most building industry professionals don't know how to best use BIM and now we have realistic assessment of the situation. Other surveys are based largely on those already interested in BIM. This one was just a general membership survey and it appears to reflect the reality that I encounter in the industry.
