New Refinery in North Dakota

I wonder if building a new oil & gas refinery in North Dakota makes any sense?  Since we cannot seem to build any on the coasts, the people of North Dakota are building one there.  The US Department of Labor estimates that oil & gas production will produce an additional 870K jobs.  Of course, hundreds of thousands have already been produced.  Tell me again how many jobs the TRILLION stimulus package created?

P.S.  It appears Native Americans in the Dakotas are behind the new oil & gas refinery.  That might explain why and how it was approved.  An end run around the Obama administration's job killing EPA!  Many Native American tribes cut their teeth on Casinos as mechanism for asserting sovereignty, but maybe they are ready to take their game to the next level via refineries.  I hope so.

Looks like my speculation was just about spot on.  In North Dakota, the Three Affiliated Tribes, the Mandan, Hidatsa and the Arikara acquired a 475 acre parcel between Minot and Williston on which they intend to build a $400 million oil & gas refinery.  The refinery will be built on 190 acres and the tribes will raise buffalo on the remaining acerage!  Cool.
