I wrote a series of articles for AUGI Magazine in 2011 and 2012 that delved deeply into the task of carrying BIM through to the facilities management. Exposure to the ideas championed by the Asset Leadership Network, continued involvement with Kimon Onuma's BIMStorms and my recent involvement with the International Blockchain Real Estate Association reinforced my belief that the built environment desperately needs to understand the cultural and legal implications of the digital revolution in order to leverage big data while managing built assets.
The article excerpted and linked below indicates main stream advocates of BIM in the UK understand the urgency of the issue. Let's continue to share the news with key stakeholders here in the US built environment.
